10,000 Acres On Our Private Property Next To Big Bend National Park
Our personal favorite place to lead trips is right here on our private property! Hidden Dagger Adventures is the only outfitter with access to the Dead Horse Mountains. The ranch shares a property line with the neighboring National Park as well as it’s striking natural features. We’ve scouted across the ranch to find the best places for your next adventure. From the colorful walls of Balance Rock Canyon to the epic views at Habla Con Dios, the ranch has many unique formations waiting for you to discover.
ATV,SUV & JEEP RIDES
Tour the rugged country with a knowledgable instructor and learn about the area as you explore canyons and old Native American campsites. These trips are great for all ages and a great way to share an experience with the whole family.
HIKING
Grab a sotol stick and start trekking through the private land of the Dead Horse Ranch to explore canyons, caves, mountains, and so much more! These guided hikes offer a chance for you to see parts of West Texas that have rarely been seen before.
Camping & Backpacking
Step away from the lodge and immerse yourself in the outdoors. The ranch holds several amazing campsites for overnight trips. You can choose to backpack in with your gear, or have us shuttle it in.
Rock Climbing
Coming soon to Dead Horse Mountain Ranch. We’re working to develop rappel and sport climbing routes in our own Balance Rock Canyon.
Big Bend National Park
Texas’s Greatest National Park
With over 800,000 acres to explore, Big Bend National Park really is the crown jewel of Texas. It’s diversity rivals that of many National Parks. The Chisos Mountains rise above the Chihuahuan Desert floor and remind visitors that not all of Texas is flat. As a licensed tour operator in the park, Hidden Dagger Adventures leads trips to many of the top attractions including the South Rim, Santa Elena Canyon and the Balance Rock.

Stargazing
The stars at night are the biggest and brightest in Big Bend. With almost no light pollution, people travel to the park just to see the vibrant Milky Way. We’re experts at pointing out constellations and describing the night sky.
