Hidden Dagger Adventures leads both day hikes and multi-day hikes on Dead Horse Mountain Ranch as well as Big Bend National Park. Achieve a richer experience with knowledgeable guides who share the human history, geology, and wildlife of the area. With overnight trips, we can lead you to places rarely seen and/or prep you for your next solo backpacking trip with our Backpacking 101 course.

Guided Day Hikes

From 3-13 miles, waterfalls to vistas, we will customize a trip that is perfect for your wants and needs. Our expert guides can educate you on the flora & fauna, and tell you stories of the Texas Rangers, the Mexican Revolution, and so much more! Leave with an even greater appreciation for the Chihuahuan Desert and the wildlife that inhabit it. Transportation, park use fees, lunch, snacks, and water included.

Backpacking

Venture beyond a day’s reach and explore the rarely seen high grasslands of the Dead Horse Mountains or the southern boundaries of Big Bend National Park and so much more! All meals, group camping gear, park use fees, and transportation included. We also have select personal camping gear for rent.

Backpacking 101 Course

A 3 day, 2 night course to get you feeling prepared for your next backpacking trip in the wilderness! You’ll learn the necessities from how to pack your pack to off trail navigation! We’ll also instruct you on how you can eat well in the backcountry, basic wilderness first aid & safety, camp set up, and fire building. All meals, tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, group camping gear, park use fees, and transportation included.
