Darkest Skies in the Country
The lights that power large cities like Dallas and Houston produce light pollution which drowns out the view of the night sky. With our remote location in West Texas, light pollution is minimized more than anywhere else in the United States. Come experience the clearest skies you’ve ever seen and witness the Milky Way Galaxy, dazzling clusters of stars and even meteors if you’re lucky!
Texas Mountains
Most folks don’t know that Texas is home to more than 50 mountain ranges. Unfortunately, most are tucked away on private land making them inaccessible to the general public. Dead Horse Mountain Ranch is named after the range that runs along the western border of our property and reaches heights of 5800ft. Join us on an overnight adventure to summit the tallest peak on our property with great views of the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend next door.
Pet Friendly
For adventure enthusiasts with four legged friends, our tours in the Dead Horse Mountain range are pet friendly unlike the neighboring National Park. We’ve got several friendly dogs of our own who typically join us as we explore the property!
